The Embraer Phenom 300 was developed following the success of the Phenom 100, with the 300 intended to be a similar but larger version of its predecessor. The aircraft’s first flight took place in April of 2008, and it received its type certificate in 2009. In January of 2020, Embraer announced it would be making significant upgrades to the Phenom 300, focusing on its power and range. The upgrades took the maximum speed from 450 knots to 470, and increased the range to over 2,000 nautical miles. Additionally, engine thrust was increased by over 100 pounds of force. The Phenom 300 is used by private aviators and a number of airlines in the United States and United Kingdom.
