The EC155 B1 is a long-range medium-lift passenger transport helicopter designed and manufactured by Eurocopter. The EC155 B1 was developed from Eurocopter’s Dauphin series for civil aviation use. It is a twin-engine aircraft and can carry up to 13 passengers with a crew of one or two. The aircraft is used for passenger transport, offshore support, VIP corporate transport, and casualty transport duties. The aircraft has been in production since 2001 and has a base price of 5.5 million dollars. In 2015, when Eurocopter formally rebranded as Airbus Helicopters, the EC155 B1 was renamed the H155.
