The Bell 427 is a multipurpose utility helicopter that was manufactured by Bell Helicopter and Samsung over the years of 1997 to 2010. Although the Bell 427 has been superseded by the larger Bell 429 model, there are numerous 427 units that currently remain in service. The Bell 427 was manufactured wholly with the use of computer technology, and in 1997 the helicopter embarked on its maiden flight. In 1999, the Bell 427 was certified in Canada, receiving United States certification only a year later. Currently, users of the Bell 427 include entities such as the Entre Rios Police of Argentina, as well as the Czech HEMS of the Czech Republic.
