The Eurocopter EC 135 P2i is a twin-engine civil light utility helicopter designed and manufactured by Eurocopter. It is capable of instrument flight and is equipped with a digital automatic flight control system (AFCS). The first flight of the EC 135 P2i was in 1994 and it officially entered service in 1996. As of 2018, more than 1,300 aircraft have been delivered to more than 300 operators in 60 countries. It is primarily used for emergency medical services but is also used for corporate transport, law enforcement, and military flight training purposes. A variant of the aircraft, the EC635, is a militarized version of the P2i.
