The EC130 is a single-engine light utility helicopter designed and manufactured by Eurocopter. It has been in production since 2001 and has a base price of 2.1 million dollars. It is developed from the Eurocopter AS350 Ecureuil, with the most significant change being the addition of the Fenestron anti-torque device in lieu of a conventional tail rotor. Since 2001, more than 700 EC130 aircraft have been built. It is used by a number of civil operators in Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, France, Monaco, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United States. Comparable aircraft include the Bell 407, HAL LUH, MD Helicopters MD 600, and the AgustaWestland AW119 Koala.
