The Bell ARH-70 was to be a reconnaissance armed helicopter, manufactured by Bell Helicopter for the United States Army’s Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH) program. Due to delays and increased program costs, the ARH-70 was cancelled in 2008 after four prototypes were produced. The development of the ARH-70 began in 2005, soon after they won the bid for the ARH program over Boeing.
