The Epic Dynasty is a kit-built single engine turboprop aircraft intended for use by private pilots. It is designed and manufactured by American aircraft manufacturer Epic Aircraft. The Dynasty features a Pratt and Whitney PT6-67A engine that produces 850 horsepower, allowing it to travel at a top cruising speed of 340 knots for a maximum range of 1,874 nautical miles (when optional long-range tanks are equipped). With these tanks equipped, the aircraft’s fuel capacity is 350 US gallons, and its fuel economy is roughly 12.6 nautical miles per gallon. It has been in production since 2010 and has a base price of $2.5 million USD. In addition to the pilot, the Epic Dynasty has room to accommodate five passengers.

The aircraft was designed to meet demand for a high-performance kit-built single
turboprop-engine aircraft. It features a low-wing layout with the tailplanes middle-set on a single fin. The construction of the aircraft uses composites incorporating carbon fibers. The first prototype flew in 2004 and logged over 1,000 hours of certification flight testing. Despite this, certification was not complete until late 2009, at which point more than 2,000 test hours had been flown. In July of 2016, six Epic Dynasty kit-built aircraft departed on a global circumnavigation flight, all flown by private-owner pilots.
Sale and delivery of the Epic Dynasty is currently being phased out, with Epic intending to focus its efforts on the development of their new aircraft, the Epic E1000. The goal of the E1000’s production is to create the fastest single-engine civil aircraft. Epic Aircraft, the manufacturer of the Dynasty, is a general aviation aircraft manufacturer based in Bend, Oregon. Owned by Russian aircraft company S7 Technics, Epic Aircraft produces FAA certified single engine turboprop aircraft designs. Other aircraft designed and produced by Epic include the LT, Victory, E1000, Escape, and Elite.
