The Epic LT is a kit-built single-engined turboprop engine designed by Epic Aircraft. The aircraft was designed to meet demand for a high-performance kit-built single turboprop-engine aircraft. It features a low-wing layout with the tailplanes middle-set on a single fin. The construction of the aircraft uses composites incorporating carbon fibers. The first prototype flew in 2004 and logged over 1,000 hours of certification flight testing. Despite this, certification was not complete until late 2009, at which point more than 2,000 test hours had been flown. Full-scale production of the aircraft began in 2011, with a base price of $2.19 million USD. In July of 2016, six Epic Dynasty kit-built aircraft departed on a global circumnavigation flight, all flown by private-owner pilots.
