Functionality of Annunciator: Annunciators are bells, lights or other small devices that provide information on the condition of something with sometime of indication powered by activated electrical circuits. Typically, these lights or bells are grouped into a large panel known as annunciator panels. These panels use the lights signals or the noise from bells to indicate users of issues within systems. Each board has a set of different light colors that indicate the status of urgency required.

Common Applications

Almost every older aircraft is equipped with an annunciator panel. The panels used in aircrafts are grouped together with various lights that allow operators to determine status of the aircraft subsystems. The panels are typically installed in the cockpit of the aircraft. Industrial plants use annunciator panels to warm operators of unusual conditions in the plant. The panels are hard wired to switches inside the plant and provide warnings when a process condition enters an abnormal state. Large commercial buildings utilize annunciator panels as central fire alarms. The panel helps fire personal to locate the location of a fire inside the building.
