As it is a military aircraft, the Super Tucano features five hard points to carry a wide range of weapons, specifically precision-guided munitions such as rockets, missiles, and guns. The aircraft was designed to be a low cost choice for operation in low-threat environments. The Super Tucano has been used by the Brazilian, Colombian, Afhgan, and Ecuadorian Air Forces. While the Super Tucano does not feature a built-in avionics system, it is compatible with a wide range of independent systems. It is also used as a training aircraft, utilizing Embraer’s advanced training system called TOSS (Training Operational Support System). TOSS is a fully integrated system that comprises four subsystems: computer-based training, aviation mission planning, mission debriefing, and a flight simulator.
