The Pilatus PC-12NG (Next Generation) is an improved variation of the PC-12, a passenger and cargo aircraft that is designed and manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft. Beginning production in 1991, approximately 1,700 units have been produced to date. Many units still remain in active service, operating under users such as PlaneSense, the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, and the United States Air Force. As compared to the base PC-12 model, the PC-12NG improves upon the aircraft by introducing a more powerful engine, glass cockpit, automatic pressurization controls, modified winglets, and more. Since the release of the PC-12NG in 2007, it has received numerous orders, 200 of them being in the first year alone.
