Established in 1935 and based in West Des Moines, Iowa, Delavan specializes in developing and manufacturing engine accessories, particularly spray technology and other essential gas turbine fuel injection components. Formerly known as Turbine Fuel Technology, the company was acquired by Goodrich Corporation, which has since been folded into United Technologies Corporation.

Delavan offers products in three primary families: gas turbine fuel products, industrial spray nozzles and accessories, and oil heating and combustion nozzles. Delavan maintains a fluid handling systems pision with product offerings ranging from basic spray manifolds to wheel wash stations, dust suppression, and odor control installations.

The company offers products with the following specifications: air atomizing, airless, cleaning in place, dela-fit, flat spray (including high pressure and special purpose), hollow cone, metals industry, pulp and paper, solid cone, and spray drying. With a number of patented technologies, Delavan supplies aerospace customers with a portfolio of over 30,000 components through a distribution network spanning more than sixty countries. The company’s SDX V® range features a proprietary swirl chamber that facilitates flow path and prevents clogging and pressure loss.

The Swirl Air® range, used for maximizing hydraulic and pneumatic energy for low pressure liquid atomization, is particularly conducive to aerospace applications and features variable spray angles and adjustable flow rates and atomization degrees. Delavan also offers a range of energy-efficient cooling nozzles, Cool-Cast, whose design produces flat, thick, and uniform spray and requires less air compressor load.
