Federal Supply Groups and Federal Supply Classes organize products according to type and function. Browse the directory below to locate aerospace, aviation, defense, and related components by classification. Selecting an FSC will take you to a catalog of associated part numbers and RFQ options.
Understanding FSGs, FSCs, and NSNs
A Federal Supply Group (FSG) is a two-digit code representing a broad family of products. A Federal Supply Class (FSC) is a four-digit code identifying a more specific product class within that group. The first two digits of every FSC indicate its parent FSG.
A National Stock Number (NSN) is different. It is a 13-digit identifier assigned to a specific standardized item of supply, while an FSC groups similar products together. The first four digits of an NSN represent its FSC.
The classification hierarchy is:
FSG → FSC → Individual NSN
For example:
FSG 16: Aerospace Craft Components and Accessories
FSC 1620: Aircraft Landing Gear Components
NSN beginning with 1620: A specific standardized item classified within FSC 1620
Other featured groups include:
FSG 12: Fire Control Equipment
FSG 14: Guided Missiles
FSG 15: Aerospace Craft and Structural Components
FSG 17: Aerospace Craft Launching, Landing, Ground Handling and Servicing Equipment
Find Parts by FSC or NSN
Browse by FSC when you know the product class but not the exact item. If you already have a complete stock number, use our NSN lookup tool or explore the NSN parts catalog.
Before requesting a quote, confirm the FSC, NSN, part number, manufacturer, quantity, and applicable specifications. Items within the same FSC may differ in configuration, material, performance, or approved application.
Request a Quote
Select an FSC and submit an RFQ with the part number or NSN, required quantity, condition, documentation needs, and delivery deadline. ASAP Aerospace follows a No China Sourcing policy, with customized quotations typically provided within 15 minutes of reviewing a completed request.
